Free import

Customs controls in Croatian points of entry distinguish between goods bought within the European Union and outside the European Union. When traveling to Croatia from outside the European Union you are allowed to bring the following provided you travel with the items and do not intend to sell them:

  • Tobacco products (for travellers aged 18 and over): 200 cigarettes, 100 cigarillos, 50 cigars and 250g of tobacco.
  • Alcoholic beverages (for travellers aged 18 and over): 2 litres of still table wine.
  • 1 litre of spirits or strong liqueurs over 22% volume or 2 litres of fortified wine, sparkling wine, or other liqueurs.
  • 60ml of perfume.

  • Firearms, explosives, and ammunitions.
  • Gas, poison magnetized material.
  • Drugs.
  • Meat and dairy products.
  • Plants (flowers or seeds), plant products (fruit and vegetables).
  • Radioactive materials, flammable liquids, corrosives.

Currency declaration

Any person entering or leaving Croatia and carrying cash to the value of €10 000 or more is required to declare that sum to the relevant authorities.
