Frankfurt Airport (Flughafen Frankfurt Main) is Germany's primary international airport, located in Frankfurt, the country's fifth-largest city. Operated by Fraport, it serves as the main hub for Lufthansa, Lufthansa CityLine, Lufthansa Cargo, Condor, and AeroLogic. Spanning 2,300 hectares, the airport features two passenger terminals capable of handling approximately 65 million passengers annually, four runways, and extensive logistics and maintenance facilities. Frankfurt Airport is the busiest in Germany and the sixth busiest in Europe, with nearly 70 million passengers in 2018 and the highest cargo traffic in Europe. Serving 330 destinations across five continents, it boasts the most direct routes worldwide. Strategically located 12 km southwest of central Frankfurt, near major Autobahn interchanges, the airport is a crucial transport hub for the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region and beyond.

Arriving at Frankfurt Airport

  • Follow signs to Passport Control: After exiting the aircraft, look for and follow the overhead signs directing you to Passport Control. We need to clear passport control in Germany before proceeding to our connecting flight.
  • Clear Passport Control: Proceed through passport control as a group. Have your travel documents ready for inspection.
  • Proceed to Public Lounge: Once we have cleared passport control, we will proceed together to the public lounge.
  • Relax and freshen up: In the public lounge, we will have some time to relax and freshen up before our connecting flight to Dubrovnik.
